Consumer Court is priority of the government: Minister Bhandari Cloudy skies with light rain across the country: MFD According to a press release from the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, the new building of Shree Bhadgaun Sinuwari Secondary School in Ramdhuni Municipality, built at a total cost of Rs 26.30 million under the 'Nepal-India Development Cooperation' initiative, was jointly inaugurated by Rajan Mehata, Chief of District Coordination Committee, Shankar Lal Chaudhary, Mayor of Ramdhuni Municipality, and Suman Shekhar, First Secretary at the Embassy of India, Kathmandu.Similarly, a new building for Shree Bhagawati Secondary School in Inaruwa Municipality, Sunsari, constructed with the Government of India's financial assistance at a total cost of Rs.30.50 million under the same initiative, was also jointly inaugurated by Rajan Mehata, Chief of District Coordination Committee, Kedar Bhandari, Mayor of Inaruwa Municipality, and Suman Shekhar, First Secretary at the Embassy of India, Kathmandu. Photo Courtesy: Indian Embassy in Kathmandu The Government of India grant under 'Nepal-India Development Cooperation' was utilized for the construction of school buildings with other facilities at Shree Bhadgaun Sinuwari Secondary School and Shree Bhagawati Secondary School.

These projects were undertaken as High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDP) under an agreement between the Government of India and the Government of Nepal.

The projects were implemented through the District Coordination Committee, Sunsari, the statement added.The Chief of the District Coordination Committee, the Mayors of Ramdhuni and Inaruwa Municipalities, and the Chairpersons of the School Management Committee appreciated the continued developmental support of the Government of India in priority sectors.The new facilities will enhance the educational environment for students at Shree Bhadgaun Sinuwari Secondary School and Shree Bhagawati Secondary School, contributing to educational development in the region, according to the embassy."Since 2003, the Government of India has undertaken over 551 HICDPs in Nepal across various sectors, completing 490 projects.

Among these, 85 projects are in Koshi Province, including 12 in Sunsari.

Additionally, the Government of India has gifted 1009 ambulances and 300 school buses to various institutions in Nepal, with 146 ambulances and 48 school buses provided in Koshi Province, including 24 ambulances and 11 school buses in Sunsari District," the statement said.As close neighbors, India and Nepal share extensive and multi-sectoral cooperation.

The implementation of HICDPs reflects the continued support of the Government of India in bolstering the efforts of the Government of Nepal in uplifting its people and enhancing infrastructure, especially in the education sector, it added. .
